3717-1-06(A)(1) / Indoor areas - surface characteristics
Observed floors, walls, and/or ceilings that were not constructed of approved materials. Acoustical ceiling tiles in the kitchen and dish room. Please relace as they become damaged with washable ceiling tiles.
Where FSO or RFE activities are conducted, materials for indoor floor, wall, and ceiling surfaces shall be smooth, durable, and easily cleanable; closely woven and easily cleanable carpet for carpeted areas; and nonabsorbent for areas subject to moisture.
3717-1-06.1(I) / Light bulbs - protective shielding.
Observed light bulbs or heat lamp that were not properly shielded or coated where required. Protecteive tubs on lights in the storeroom were not put back on correctly allowing exposed light bulbs, light shield missing above the dish machine.
Light bulbs shall be shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter-resistant in areas where there is exposed food, clean equipment, utensils, or linens, or unwrapped single-service or single-use articles and does not apply in areas used only for storing food in unopened packages. An infrared or other heat lamp shall be protected against breakage by a shield surrounding and extending beyond the bulb so that only the face of the bulb is exposed.
3717-1-06.2(F) / Disposable towels - waste receptacle.
Observed no waste receptacle at the handwashing sink(s). No garabage can located near the hand washing sink in the kitchen.
A handwashing sink or group of handwashing sinks that is provided with disposable towels shall be provided with a waste receptacle.
