3717-1-04.4(A)(2) / Equipment components kept intact, tight, and adjusted
The cooler lock handle was broke on chest freezer. Therefore, there was ice build up in chest freezer not allowing lid to close properly. The PIC immediately called for maintenance to repair cooler door handle lock and remove ice build up in order to correct lid issue. The temperature in cooler was still maintained and no food contamination observed. Equipment components are not intact, tight or properly adjusted.
