Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).

Contraventions

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19220 - CCLR s.58(1)(b) - A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.
Observation: A care plan with a course of action is required for a medication that was provided to the Licensee. Another care plan requires confirmation that the care plan was created with the parent (i.e. plan signed by parent). Discussion had with Licensee about having accurate care plans which are reviewed yearly.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure care plans are available and accurate when required.

At the inspection dated April 6, 2023, there were 5 children and 1 staff present.
At this inspection, the above noted contravention was identified . Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before April 13, 2023
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed.
