[?] A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

3701-31-04 (E)(2)(e) / Working emergency telephone/call box provided.
Repeat Emergency device (telephone) was not working. Observed the cell telephone in the emergency telephone box to not be charged and not function while the pool was open. Discussed with the office personnel in the apartment office, who indicated that the telephone was supposed to have been checked that morning by the person who manages the pool. In order to ensure a prompt response by emergency personnel in the event of an emergency, it is necessary that a working telephone always be available in the emergency telephone box whenever the pool is open. The office personnel started to charge the telephone during the inspection, provided a temporary sign directing pool users to the office until the phone was completely changed, and indicated that they would ensure that the an operable telephone would always be present in the emergency telephone box from now on. Ensure that there is always a working telephone in the emergency box when the pool is open. Requested the number of the facility manager to discuss.
Ensure that the emergency device is functioning properly and rings to the emergency response authorities.

Called J.T. Morrison (Horizons Asset Manager, Columbus, OH) to discuss the lack of a working emergency telephone and left a message re: it is essential to have a working emergency telephone at the pool at all times. The current cell phone that is periodically charged in the apartment office was in the emergency telephone box, but did not have a charge at the pool inspection.

08-18-21, later in day:
Return call from J.T. Morrison indicating that the telephone had been directly wired into the wall of the emergency telephone box on 08-18-21 to ensure that the telephone was fully-operable at all times. He also indicated that a daily inspection log had been instituted at the facility and that he would personally check on this log every Friday to ensure that the emergency telephone was working.
