The pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8. The pH was measured at at least 8.0.
In order to ensure proper water chemistry and reduce the risk of irritation to eyes and mucous membranes, it is necessary that the operator treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range. Adjust the pH to between 7.2 - 7.8.

The operator was adding water during the inspection and indicated that it was necessary to add water frequently. Discussed methods to check if the loss of water from the pool was within expected percentages to allow for evaporation, wind movement, and pool use OR if the loss of water might indicate a leak in the pool system. The CCCHD will send guidance on how to check this issue.
