In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, ensure staff is trained in pool operations, operation of equipment, chemical storage, use and handling and appropriate emergency procedures.

3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(vi)/Total alkalinity is tested weekly
Observed total alkalinity was not tested weekly.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, test total alkalinity at least once a week and keep a record.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(b)/Life guard/ CPR/First Aid training certificates are current and available
Observed life guard/ CPR/First Aid training certificates were not available.
In order to reduce the risk of safety hazards, provide documentation of all training certificates for all lifeguards.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(t)/Equipment/chemical/storage areas are free of hazards/accessible only to authorized personnel.
Observed door to the pump room where chemicals are also stored to be unlocked and accessible to public.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, ensure this room is always locked.
3701-31-04 (C)(3)/Total alkalinity is at or greater than 60 ppm
Observed total alkalinity was less than 60 ppm (40ppm).
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, raise the total alkalinity to at least 60 ppm.
3701-31-04 (D)(7)(b)/pH and ORP values shall be displayed.
Observed that pH value was not displayed on the ACC unit
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, have the ACC unit serviced or replaced so that the pH value is displayed
Comments
Facility has put in a service call for pH not being displayed on ACC unit.
Facility is to call CCCHD when they have determined the plans moving forward for the pool during the hours of 11-3. (If life guard will be made available, closing pool during those hours, or blocking off big pool)
