3701-31-04 (B)(1)(c) / Minimum disinfection residual shall be maintained as required.
Critical Observed no chlorine in the pool.
Chlorine disinfectant residual was less than 1 ppm for the pool. Do not operate the pool when the disinfectant residuals are less than what is required. Ensure the chlorine disinfectant residual is at 1 ppm or above prior to placing the pool back into operation.
3701-31-04 (B)(3) / Staff is trained and knowledgeable
Observed staff that was not properly trained or knowledgeable.
Staff was not trained or knowledgeable in pool operations. Train staff in pool operations, operation of equipment, chemical storage, use and handling and appropriate emergency procedures.
3701-31-04 (C)(2) / pH is within 7.2 to 7.8
Repeat Observed the pH at 7.0.
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8. Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
3701-31-04 (C)(3) / Total alkalinity is at or greater than 60 ppm
Observed the total alkalinity at 50 ppm.
Total alkalinity was less than 60 ppm. Raise the total alkalinity to at least 60 ppm.
3701-31-04(D)(6)(a)(2) / Pool free chlorine disinfectant residual shall be above 1 ppm.
Critical Repeat Observed no free chlorine in the pool.
Pool free chlorine disinfectant residual was below 1 ppm. Do not operate the pool until the chlorine disinfectant residual is at 1 ppm or above.
