Observed that disinfection residuals were not tested daily (saturday and sunday) at pool side and/or at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers .
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iii) / pH is tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features
Observed that pH was not tested daily (sat and sun) at pool side and/or at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, ensure that pH must be tested prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use pH must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iv) / Water temperatures are recorded daily
Observed water temperatures were not being recorded daily (sat and sun).
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, take and record the water temperature at least once/day.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(f) / Required turnover rates are sufficient
Observed required turnover rates were not met, flow at 30.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, ensure that turnover rates are being met. Have the circulation system evaluated to determine why the turnover rates are not able to be met. Once the reasons have been determined have the issue repaired. If necessary, submit plans to the Ohio Department of Health to review and approve.
