3701-31-04 (B)(1)(d) / Circulation/Disinfection system shall operate properly.
Critical The pool's chlorinator feeder is not working and the operator/owner is waiting for a part to come in. Under the Ohio Administrative Code, a pool must remain closed until the chlorination system is repaired to provide continuous chlorination with the flow of the water to protect all swimmers and pool patrons from the risk of exposure to waterborne pathogens when the chlorination system is not working properly. Manually dosing the pool is not an acceptable method to maintain the correct chlorination level in the pool, thus the pool will have to remain closed until the new part is replaced and working.

Pool's chlorinator feeder is not working and replacement part has been ordered but not installed. Contacted Chuck Ramsey and Janine Howell on 8/4/2022. Pool must closed because the chlorination equipment is not working and remain closed until the new part is replace. An inspection will be conducted on August 5th to verify the pool is closed and has the correct signage indicating the pool is closed. Additional inspections to verify the pool remains closed until the operator or owner contacts the Health Department that the part has been replaced and working. Contact Jennifer Michaelson at 937-390-5600 ext. 295 when the new part has been installed and working to schedule another inspection to verify the water chemistry and flow are meeting the Ohio Administrative Code 3701-37.
