[?] A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

3701-31-04 (B)(1)(a) / Outlet covers shall be installed/secured/in compliance
Critical Pool was closed during inspection. Operator had removed one of the main drain covers to see if there was a date on the cover of when it needs to be replaced. Plans to replace covers with new covers before opening the pool by the next day. Need to have both main drain covers in place and secured (screwed down) before opening the pool for use.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(o) / Ladders/stairs/steps are in good repair/slip resistent
Missing the ladder to the deep end of the pool. Required to install the ladder to the deep end for swimmers/users to have access out of the deep end of the pool. This older pool is required to have the ladder at the deep end after seeing photos of the pool from seven years ago showing the ladder was installed. Need to maintain the ladder in place when the pool is in operation and is secured to the deck to allow safe access out and into the deep end of the pool.

Support rail for the steps into the shallow end of the pool needs to be secured to not easily sway side to side to provide safe access in and out of the pool.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(p) / Deck surfaces are free of standing water or other hazards.
Found several areas of the deck where sections of the concrete is uneven and creating tripping hazards. Locations of this problem are along the seams of where the middle section of the deck. Need to repair /correct to reduce the risk of tripping, falling or stubbing exposed toes.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(p) / Deck surfaces are free of standing water or other hazards.
Deck surfaces in multiple places around the pool are peeling in large flakes of material. Operator in the process of removing the damaged surface prior to opening the pool. Monitor and maintain the deck is free of this material and reduce the risk of the material being blown or washed into the pool during regular cleaning and maintenance of the pool deck.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(q) / Depth markers/deck warning signs are maintained
Depth markers need to be clear and easily seen. The markers need to be at locations to mark the maximum and minimum points of the pool and at the point wher the there is a break between the deep and shallo portions of the pool. The depth markers need to be at least 4 inches in height and reflect the water depth to the nearest 6 inches. Need to keep the 3 ft 6 inches mark on the sides of the pool. Observed the 3 feet at the shallow end of the pool by the office needed retouched and the north end of the shallow pool needs the 3ft and the 3ft 6 inches repainted to be clear and readable.

3701-31-04 (B)(6)(s) / Perimeter barrier is in good repair to prevent unauthorized entry
Found one section at the base of the perimeter fencing with the prongs bent upward creating a wider opening than allowed by being greater than 4 inches. Operator bent the prongs down and the spacing was less than 4 inches. These prongs need to be secured to not be easily moved or replaced if this is not possible to reduce the risk of possible entry under the fence in this area by people/kids.

3701-31-04 (C)(2) / pH is within 7.2 to 7.8
Observed the pH at 7.0 during the inspection. The pool was currently closed and not open to the public. Until the pH is in the required range of 7.2 to 7.8, it will need to remain closed. Need to maintain the pH in the range of 7.2 to 7.8 to have the water chemistry including the Chlorine work effectively as the pool's disinfectant. Adjust the pH and monitor thru the day after adjustment.

Comments
At time of inspection, pool was not open to the public. Operator was still working on setting up the pool, cleaning and repairing the pool deck area of loose debris and preparing for the pool to open soon. In the process of replacing the 2 main drain covers with new covers during the inspection. Once the main drains covers are securely installed and the pH in the required range, the pool does not have to remain closed. Reinspection is scheduled for June 16, 2023 to check on drain cover and June 21, 2023 for the noncritical violations listed.
