3701-31-04 (A)(2) / Licensee allows access to inspect the pool and surrounding areas
I called the provided phone number for the manager and left a message requesting access for inspection. No access for inspection was provided.
Provide access to the equipment room and all areas that need to be inspected.
3701-31-04 (B)(1)(c) / Minimum disinfection residual shall be maintained as required.
Critical Observed the free chlorine residual to only be 0.4 ppm.
Free chlorine shall be maintained above 1 ppm at all times of operation. In accordance with Board of Health Regulations this pool must be closed.
3701-31-04 (B)(2) / Authorized representative is on-site or within 30 minutes of pool location
I called the posted number for the manager and requested that someone meet me at the pool to provide access for inspection and for consultation within 30 minutes. No one arrived for consultation within the required 30 minutes.
Make arrangements to have an authorized representative available within 30 minutes while pool is in operation.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii) / Combined chlorine is tested daily at pool side prior to use
Observed that the operator is not testing for combined chlorine.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the combined chlorine must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(vi) / Total alkalinity is tested weekly
Observed that the operator is not testing for alkalinity.
Test total alkalinity at least once/week.
