Observed that disinfection residuals were not tested daily at pool side and/or at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(ii) / Combined chlorine is tested daily at pool side prior to use
Observed that combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use (missing at least a week).
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iii) / pH is tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features
Observed that pH was not tested daily at pool side and/or at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, ensure pH is tested prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use pH must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iv) / Water temperatures are recorded daily
Observed that water temperatures were not being recorded daily.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, take and record the water temperature at least once/day.
3701-31-04(D)(6)(a)(1) / Combined chlorine shall not exceed 1.0 ppm.
Repeat Observed combined chlorine at 1.5 ppm.
In order to reduce the risk of health hazards, treat the pool so that the combined chlorine is less than 1 ppm.
