[?] A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

3701-31-04 (B)(2) / Authorized representative is on-site or within 30 minutes of pool location
An authorized representative was not on-site or within 30 minutes of pool location. No person who was knowledgeable about pool operation was available for consultation during the inspection.
To reduce the risk of waterborne illness or injury, make arrangements to have an authorized representative available while pool is in operation.
3701-31-04 (B)(4) / The licensee /authorized representative is keeping records
The licensee /authorized representative was not keeping or maintaining operational records. The daily/monthly log for the spa was not available for inspection and the posted log was outdated. It appeared that the water clarity was not checked daily.
To reduce the risk of waterborne illness or injury, all facility records must be maintained and available for review upon request.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(i) / Disinfection residuals are tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features
Disinfection residuals were not tested daily at pool side and/or at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features. The records indicate that the chlorine residuals are checked after the spa is open.
Test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the disinfectant residual must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use. To reduce the risk of waterborne illness, check the disinfection residual daily - prior to opening - and at proper intervals.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(iii) / pH is tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features
pH was not tested daily at spa side and/or at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features prior to opening. The records indicate that the pH is checked after the spa is open.
pH must be tested prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use pH must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the pH must be tested at 1 special feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use. To reduce the risk of waterborne ilness, check the pH daily - prior to opening - and at proper intervals.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(vi) / Total alkalinity is tested weekly
Total alkalinity was not tested weekly.
To ensure proper chemical residuals, test the total alkalinity at least once/week.
3701-31-04 (B)(6) / Equipment is maintained per manufacturers specifications.
Equipment was not maintained per manufacturers specifications. The pump for the spa was covered with crusty, dried chemicals from a leak.
All equipment must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturers specifications. To reduce the risk of waterborne illness or injury from chemicals, clean and repair or replace this pump.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(h) / Required meters and gauges maintained/functional
Required meters and gauges were not maintained or were not functional while the pool is in operation. The pressure gauge for the spa sand filter was not operational - the gauge was covered with crusty, dried chemicals that had leaked out of the connection and was not operable.
Maintain all meters and gauges in a properly functioning manner at all times while the pool is in operation. To reduce the risk of waterborne illness or injury from chemicals, repair or replace this gauge.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(k) / Outlet drain covers are secure/meet ANSI/ASME A112.19.8-2007 requirements.
Critical Outlet drain covers were not secure or were not in place. The weir cover was missing from the skimmer.
Secure/install the outlet covers immediately to reduce the risk of injury.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(s) / Perimeter barrier is in good repair to prevent unauthorized entry
Corrected During Inspection The perimeter barrier had a gap greater than 4 inches. The backdoor entrance to the spa area was propped open more than 4 inches.
To reduce the risk of unauthorized entry to the area, the perimeter barrier should not have any gaps, including open doors, greater than 4 inches anywhere along the barrier. Always keep the door closed. The door was closed during the inspection.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(t) / Equipment/chemical/storage areas are free of hazards/accessible only to authorized personnel.
Critical Equipment/chemical/storage areas had hazards present. Spilled chemicals were present on the floor of the pump room.
These storage areas must be kept free of hazards to reduce the risk of a serious public health nuisance. Clean the pump room floor and ensure that all chemicals are properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
3701-31-04 (C)(3) / Total alkalinity is at or greater than 60 ppm
Repeat Total alkalinity was less than 60 ppm. The total alkalinity was measured at 30 ppm. This is too low.
To conform to the rules, raise the total alkalinity to at least 60 ppm.
3701-31-04 (E)(2)(e) / Working emergency telephone/call box provided.
Emergency device (telephone) was not working. The telephone next to the spa did not reliably work to reach either the front desk or 911 based on the directions given on the signs.
To reduce the risk of patrons being unable to reach emergency assistance when needed, ensure that the designated emergency telephone is functioning properly and rings to the emergency response authorities. Repair or replace this telephone.
3701-31-04 (E)(3)(e) / Spa caution sign posted and with required language
The posted spa caution sign did not contain all of the required language. The sentence - do not use at water temperatures greater than 104 degrees F - was not included.
Ensure the posted sign conforms to the rule. To reduce the risk of injury or illness, repair or replace the spa caution sign.
3701-31-04(D)(6)(a)(4) / Spa free chlorine disinfectant residual shall be above 2 ppm.
Critical Spa free chlorine disinfectant residual was below 2 ppm. Spa free chlorine disinfectant residual was measured at 1.0 ppm. This is too low.
To reduce the risk of waterborne illness, do not operate the spa until the chlorine disinfectant residual is at 2 ppm or above. Raise the spa chlorine level to 2 ppm or greater.
