Disinfection residuals were not tested daily at pool side and/or at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features. The chlorine tests are not checked every four hours.
Test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the disinfectant residual must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use. Discussed this with the person-in-charge. Check the chlorine residual every four hours.

Total alkalinity was not tested weekly.
In order to ensure proper pool chemistry, it is necessary that the operator test total alkalinity at least once/week. Discussed this with the person-in-charge. Check the alkalinity every week.

Comments
Discussed pool issues with Roy Myers and Kimber Ferryman.
The chlorine level must be checked every four hours and maintained above 1ppm. It does not have to be very high (3-5 ppm is acceptable and typical).
The pH level must be checked every four hours and maintained between 7.2 - 7.8. The person-in-charge indicated that the pH would be corrected as soon as possible.
The alkalinity must be checked every week and maintained above 60 ppm. The most typical chemical used to raise the alkalinity is sodium bicarbonate. The alkalinity is maintained at this level to stabilize the pH. The person-in-charge went to the store to purchase needed pool chemicals during the inspection and indicated that the alkalinity would be corrected as soon as possible..

The daily logs must be kept correctly - the pool chemistry must be checked at opening and every four hours during the day when the pool is open. The person-in-charge indicated that she would start to do the first and second pool chemistry checks every day and that Roy would do the second and third checks every day.

The emergency telephone must be kept functioning. The telephone was placed on a charger during the inspection and will be replaced at the pool as soon as possible. It was indicated during the inspection that the outlet for the telephone charger is not working and will be repaired TODAY. As soon as the telephone is recharged and replaced at the pool-side, the pool may be re-opened.
