3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(vi) / Total alkalinity is tested weekly
Observed that the total alkalinity was not tested weekly.
The total alkalinity shall be tested weekly. Test total alkalinity at least once/week.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(c)(i) / Backflow prevention devices shall be maintained.
Corrected During Inspection Observed a hose being stored in the pool fill line.
Backflow prevention devices shall be maintained. Have the backflow prevention device evaluated or replaced so that backflow is prevented. PIC removed this hose during the inspection, therefore correcting this violation.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(c)(ii) / Backwash lines and lines from drainage sumps shall have an air gap and remain open to freely drain.
Observed no air gap from the pool wash line into the drain.
Lines discharging into the backwash or drainage sumps shall have an air gap and remain open to freely drain. Open the lines that discharge into the backwash or drainage sumps so that there is an air gap and the lines can drain freely.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(i) / A means of determining rate-of-flow on all water pumps
Observed that the flow meter was not functioning.
A means of determining rate-of-flow shall be properly installed, provided and maintained on all water pumps so that the rate of circulation can be accurately determined. Properly install a flow meter or have a pump curve available for every water pump used for the pool.
3701-31-04 (C)(5) / Deepest point of the public swimming pool is readily visible from the deck
Observed a cloudy pool.
Ensure that the water has sufficient clarity that the deepest point of the public pool is readily visible when viewed from deck. Do not operate the pool when water clarity is poor. Improve the water clarity so that the bottom of the pool is clearly visible at all times.
