SANITARIAN INSTRUCTED THE PERSON IN CHARGE (PIC) THAT A SPLASH GUARD NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED AT THE HAND SINKS IN THE LANDMARK BAR AREA AND THE TWIST BAR AREA TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE ICE IN THE ICE BINS THAT ARE IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO THE HAND SINKS. THE SANITARIAN FURTHER MADE THE PIC AWARE THAT BY DRILLING INTO EQUIPMENT MAY VOID THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY.

THE PIC IS REQUESTING A MEETING WITH KEN SHARKEY, FOOD PROGRAM MANAGER, TO DISCUSS AND SHOW THE REDUCED OXYGEN PACKAGING SYSTEM CURRENTLY BEING USED AT LANDMARK.

SANITARIAN FOLLOWED-UP ON Complaint# 2021010362 WHICH STATED: "THAT THERE ARE LIVE MAGGOTS LIVING IN THE RAW POTATOES. THE POTATOES ARE STILL COOKED AND SERVED TO PEOPLE." THE PIC BROUGHT ME DOWNSTAIRS AND SHOWED ME WHERE THE POTATOES WERE STORED. UPON INSPECTION, THERE WAS NO SIGN OF MAGGOTS OR ROTTEN POTATOES. FURTHERMORE THE PIC STATED THAT THIS IS MOST LIKELY A COMPLAINT FROM A FORMER EMPLOYEE WHO DID NOT WANT TO THROW OUT POTATOES THAT HAD GONE BAD. THIS PARTICULAR EMPLOYEE STATED HE WAS GOING TO CALL IN A COMPLAINT TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT. BEARING IN MIND MY INSPECTION AND THE INFORMATION PROVIDED TO ME BY THE PIC, SANITARIAN CONSIDERS THIS COMPLAINT TO HAVE NO MERIT AND THE COMPLAINT IS CLOSED.
