Critical Equipment food-contact surfaces or utensils are unclean. Observed that the display coolers were needed to be cleaned. Food equipment surfaces shall be clean to sight and touch.

Outer opening not protected. Observed that the back door in the storage area that leads to the outside area is not properly sealed. Outer openings of retail food establishments shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by having solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors.

Corrected During Inspection Improper storage of food items. Observed a box on cookies and chocolate spread stored on the floor. Food items should be stored at least 6 inches from the floor.

Unnecessary or nonfunctional items and /or litter on premises. Observed in the backroom alot of equipment that could possibly discarded to eliminated possible harborage areas. Not evidence of pests were observed. The premises shall be free of Items that are unnecessary to the operation or maintenance of a retail food establishment such as equipment that is non functional or no longer used.
