Complaint on 10-Aug-2021 :
Inspection was conducted in regards to a complaint.
Per complainant: Customers ate at Bob Evans in Kent on Saturday, August 7, 2021 around 11:00 am. First customer ate Omelet w/ cheese, tomato, spinach, onion, mushroom; hash brown with onions and wheat toast. Second customer ate Omelet w/cheese, spinach, tomato, mushrooms; grits with hollandaise sauce and pancake. Both were ill 08/07 thru 08/09.
Complaint findings: Observed no further reports regarding a foodborne illness. The Person-in-charge (PIC) demonstrated applicable knowledge of foodborne disease prevention, application of hazard analysis and critical control point principles as they relate to the food service operation. PIC stated they have not had any other reports about getting sick, they have no employees off sick, and there cooking/holding equipment is functioning properly.
Per discussion with PIC, customers were unhappy with the food. They received bacon on an omelet, when they didn't order it. They have been in touch with the customers and are resolving the issue.
The complaint is now considered closed.
