| Consultation was conducted in regards to a request from the fire department. The Health Department accompanied the fire department's investigation of the ventilation system. Observed an excessive amount of grease build up in the ventilation system specifically from the front section of the system. The Fire Department stated the system needs to be cleaned immediately and the owner was able to schedule a cleaning for later today. The ventilation system needs to be cleaned more often and shall be cleaned every 3 months. See Fire Department's report for more information. Discussed with the owner on continuing to clean the exterior surfaces of the system frequently to prevent build-up of grease and other debris. The owner will get a contract to have the ventilation system serviced at least every 3 months. Also discussed grease receptacle located outside that shall be maintained clean to prevent pest infestation. |
