An investigation was conducted in regards to two complaints received.

Per complainants:
1. Kent State dining services has been serving raw chicken to students. The dining hall is the only on campus option for students and it has become a huge health hazard. A picture was attached with the complaint showing a raw chicken patty.
2. Claims a friend received a taco salad last night that had a piece of plastic in it.

Complaint findings:
1. Observed no raw chicken patties within the facility. Chicken patties are received fully cooked at Eastway. Per discussion with manager, they heard the facility that this may have occurred is the DI hub on campus.
2. Discussed the taco operation that occurred last night. Manager will address complaint with employees and ensure that no physical contaminants are ending up in food.

Investigation continued at the DI Hub to discuss raw chicken and pictures submitted to the health department. Operation has uncooked chicken patties that are required to be fully cooked. Discussed chicken patty process with PIC. Recommend implementing cooking temperature logs and purchasing fully cooked chicken patties similar to Eastway.
No medical reports have been received about customers getting sick.

Complaints are now considered closed.
