Comments
In order for a Risk Level I Retail Food Establishment license to be issued to this location, the following must be completed:

1) Provide specs proving that the coffee brewing equipment is NSF approved or equivalent testing agency approved. Since the facility is not equipment with a 3 compartment sink, only equipment that will not need ware washing (wash, rinse, and sanitize) will be approved. Documentation shall be provided on how the equipment is to be washed and sanitized.
2) Provide a back flow prevention device on the direct water connection to the coffee brewing equipment.
3) Repair the hand washing sink in the restroom to properly drain and to have hot water at 100 degrees F.
4) Install a mop hanger in the restroom for proper mop storage.
5) Clean front beer/beverage refrigerator interior shelves. Clean shelves as needed.
6) Provide a signed application and license fee.

Items that will need to completed if a renovation is not completed:
1) Repair all damage floors, walls and ceilings.
2) Replace the damaged storage shed.
3) Provide a means to ware washing a 3 compartment sink will be required within one year.
4) Provide a service sink or curb floor drain for discarding mop water.
1-4 will be documented as violation during standard inspections until provided.

Once the items listed above have been completed, contact the Kent City Health Department to schedule a final pre-licensing inspection. This needs to happen as soon as possible as the RFE is currently operating without a license.
