Critical Observed handwashing sink is being used for purposes other than handwashing at the time of inspection.
A handwashing sink may not be used for purposes other than handwashing. Food are not to be washed in a hand washing sink.
3717-1-05.3(C) / Backflow prevention.
Critical Observed a direct connection between the sewage system and a drain originating from equipment (food preparation sink) in which foods are placed.
A direct connection may not exist between the sewage system and a drain originating from equipment in which food, portable equipment, or utensils are placed unless. Provide proper back flow prevention on the sink used for washing ready to eat foods. Until this change is made, all food shall be washed at the commissary kitchen (Middle School).
3717-1-06.2(B) / Handwashing cleanser - availability.
Critical Observed no supply of hand cleaning liquid, powder or bar soap at the handwashing sink.
Each handwashing sink or group of two adjacent handwashing sinks shall be provided with a supply of hand cleaning liquid, powder, or bar soap.
3717-1-06.2(C) / Handwashing sinks - hand drying provision.
Critical Observed no towels or hand drying device at the handwashing sink at the time of inspection.
Each handwashing sink or group of adjacent handwashing sinks shall provide hand drying by a means described in this rule.
3717-1-06.1(I) / Light bulbs - protective shielding.
Observed light bulbs directly of the kitchen were not properly shielded or coated at the time of inspection.
Light bulbs shall be shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter-resistant in areas where there is exposed food, clean equipment, utensils, or linens, or unwrapped single-service or single-use articles and does not apply in areas used only for storing food in unopened packages.
3717-1-06.1(M) / Outer openings - protected.
Observed an window without proper protection against the entry of insects and rodents at the time of inspection. Observed the left window in the kitchen was being used without a proper screen or air curtain.
To prevent contamination, outer openings of an FSO or RFE shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents as specified in this rule. Provide a screen (Sixteen mesh to one inch) on the left and right window with in the kitchen.
3717-1-06.2(D) / Handwashing aids and devices - use restrictions.
Observed soap and towels for handwashing at the utensil washing sink at time of inspection.
A sink used for food preparation or utensil washing, or a service sink or curbed cleaning facility used for the disposal of mop water or similar wastes, may not be provided with handwashing aids and devices required for a handwashing sink.
