Complaint on 02-May-2014 :
Inspection was conducted in response to a complaint of illness following consumption of fried mushrooms. Person-in-charge (PIC) stated mushrooms are delivered by Instawhip and arrive pre-packaged, breaded, and frozen. Observed mushrooms stored in the walk-in freezer and in the reach-in across from the fryers at the time of inspection. Discussed cooking procedures for mushrooms. Mushrooms are cooked in the fryer to an appropriate internal temperature from a frozen state. Once cooked, mushrooms are transferred directly from fryer baskets and served in plastic baskets lined with deli paper. PIC stated fryer oil was filtered nightly and was changed 2 days prior to complaint. Cleaning procedures for fryers appeared sound. PIC stated that the operation served many customers that night and the operation had not received any other complaints of customer illness.
