Complaint on 22-Feb-2021 :
Inspection was completed in response to a complaint regarding the bar staff/owner is allowing and advertising that customers are not required to wear masks for the Brewdown (basement bar). Complainant provided a video of the incident showing one individual dancing alone without a mask.

The bar was not busy at the time of inspection and the Brewdown was not opened. No violations were observed. Complaint details were discussed with the owner. Observed the staff and owner were demonstrating efforts to enforce the prevention measures. Owner was concerned about other bars in town are not trying at all which has cost him to lose customers and employees.

Upon reviewing the the video with the owner, the is most likely pre-pandemic. The current layout of the Brewdown Bar is different from want is in the video. The Pool table is in a different location and the area that the individual is dancing has protective barriers installed. The inspector can confirm this because the owner requested guidance and approval on the best way develop the dance floor set-up. The barriers and basement layout was approved by the Kent Fire Inspectors and KCHD inspector. This complaint will be closed.
