Complaint on 13-Jun-2019 :
Inspection was conducted in regards to a notice from the fire department that the suppression system under the ventilation hoods discharged.
Fire department and building department was at the Retail Food Establishment (RFE) at the time of inspection.
The suppression system was being services and was completed during the inspection. Fire and building department gave approval for the RFE to open as long as the gap between the hoods were sealed with drywall or similar material.
Observed photos of discharged chemical on the equipment under the hoods and on the floor. Area and equipment showed evidence of not being properly cleaned to allow RFE to open.
Per discussion with management, a follow-up inspection would be conducted in a couple hours while the employees properly cleaned and sanitized every every surface within the radius of the discharge.
A follow-up inspection is required prior to opening.
