Exempt Child Food Program Inspection was completed for the Kent Parks and Recreation Kidz Club at Longcoy before and after school program.

Observed multiple TCS food items are present that require a Risk Level III FSO license (without the MOU). Kent Schools has provided documentation allowing the Kent Parks and Recreation (KPR) to operate under the School Districts license. KPR has requested a Food Service License Exemption Report from the KCHD. Based on the documentation provided by the school district and results of the inspection, KCHD will considered this location to be exempt from additional licensing with the understanding the KPR will operating under the FSO license NFRY-98JQT4. Kent Schools is responsible for ensure KPR is serving and storing foods according to the Food Code. Violations observed will be documented accordingly.

Foods to be served: Milk, pudding, cheese sticks, yogurts, corn dogs, sausage sandwiches, pre-packaged snacks, etc.
Foods delivered from: US foods.
Foods served during school sessions: 6:30AM - 8:30AM, 3:15PM - 6PM. During the summer: 9:00AM- 4:00PM

Facilities Observed: Dry storage, cold holding/freezer and microwave, one sink

Notes to follow-up on:
1) At least one person shall obtain Person In Charge certification. This person shall be present at the facility during service. (each location).
2) Provide a metal stem temperature device when cooking foods.
3) Provide temperature measuring device in the cooler and freezer (not metal stem).
4) FSO is not provided with a food preparation sink. Only pre-package foods that do not require washing can be provided.
5) Ware washing is available in the main kitchen.

It is recommended that foods requiring preparation are prepared in the licensed FSO kitchen by trained food handlers.

Exemption inspection is required to be completed each year. Documentation from the school district may be requested each year.

Facilities will be inspection by REHS during the standard inspection completed at Main school kitchen. Restriction will be place on the back of the license.
