Complaint on 10-Aug-2020 :
Complaint was received regarding COVID-19 violations. "Over capacity at the inside and outside venue where they are playing live music. Servers are not wearing masks, parking lot is overflowing into neighborhood streets, patrons are not wearing masks. Way over 50 % capacity. This is happening on a Friday night at 8:00 p.m. "
Inspection of the FSO was completed at 3:30 PM. No live music was observed. Live music is permitted if it does not create a gathering. Observed multiple servers and kitchen staff were all wearing masks correctly. Observed owner was not wearing a mask when outside and was maintain distance from other employees and customers. The owner did put on a mask when conversation began with inspector and other staff. Parking lot was not observed to be overflowing. Observed each customer was wearing masks. There is not a 50% capacity rule for FSO. Each FSO location has been asked to develop a COVID-19 occupancy based on how may seats are able to provided with the 6 foot distance. This means the FSO could still have over 50% even 100% capacity. The owners have applied for and has been approved to expand operations outside to backyard area. This has been approved by all required departments. No major issues were observed at the time of inspection. However, the location will be marker for evening Check-in visits by KCHD staff at a later date to ensure compliance during late operation hours. COVID-19 Occupancy was not posted. Post a pre-determined occupancy on the main entrance to the FSO.
Overall, ownership is demonstrating significant efforts have been taken in protecting themselves, staff and customers from the spread of COVID-19. Complaint will be closed once successful Check-In inspections has been completed.
