3717-1-06.4(E) / Cleaning maintenance tools - preventing contamination.
Critical Observed a food prep sink, handwashing sink, or warewashing sink being used for the cleaning or storing of maintenance tools. Observed wet paint brush and roller stored next to spray sink. Observed paint residue in spray sink.
Food preparation sinks, handwashing sinks, and warewashing equipment may not be used for the cleaning of maintenance tools, the preparation or holding of maintenance materials, or the disposal of mop water and similar liquid wastes. All paintbrushes, paint rollers, and any other maintenance tools shall be cleaned in the facility's service sink as required by this rule.

Comments
PIC stated that leftover food items are stored in right side of reach in cooler for employee consumption and are not served to children. Date marking on these food items was satisfactory at the time of inspection, and these food items were stored at a safe temperature.
PIC stated that new food containers for food storage were backordered and the order had been cancelled. PIC is seeking a different supplier for safe food containers.
Discussed equipment cleaning procedures for food equipment.
All newly purchased equipment shall be commercial grade and approved by a recognized food equipment agency.
Contact the City of Kent Health Department prior to placing any new equipment into service.
