Inspection was conducted in response to a complaint that sanitizer cloths were improperly used and resulting in contamination of multiple cleaned surfaces.
Observed wiping cloths were stored submerged in sanitizer buckets, and sanitizer was free of debris with no obvious signs of contamination at the time of inspection.
Spoke with the person-in-charge about the complaint and appropriate procedures for use of sanitizer. The PIC stated that sanitizer cloths are removed from service when they become contaminated, and sanitizer water is changed. The PIC also stated that she would discuss the matter with kitchen staff and lunch monitors to ensure that all employees are using sanitizer cloths appropriately in a manner that prevents contamination of cleaned surfaces.
