Complaint on 27-Sep-2020 :
Regarding Complaint: Complaint received via Facebook on Sunday 9/27 regarding the employees were not wearing mask and the customers were not required wear masks when entering the FSO. This was observed by KCHD staff during COVID-19 Prevention Compliance Check-In Inspections.
A complaint inspection was completed in response to the complaint. Observed 2 employees to be working behind the front counter. One employee was wearing a gaiter below their nose and seemed to struggle with keeping the face covering over their nose through out the inspection. The other employee was working with food over the flat top griddle, fryers, and other hot equipment. They did not have mask available to to wear at the time of inspection. Observed all sit down seating inside was available. Discussed with manager that every other booth shall be allowed to be seated or barriers between the booths shall be installed. The 2 tops table and chairs shall not be used. The seating capacity should be revised to 8 instead 12. Symptoms of COVID-19 were not posted. These are all required by the current Order from the Ohio Department of Health.
Outcome: Manager did not seem to concerned about the issues with the COVID-19 prevention requirements. The following shall be completed to prevent additional complaints and enforcement actions: 1) Ensure all staff have masks or face coverings that are comfortable to wear throughout the shift. The Cooking staff is still required to wear a mask when they are not working over the hot equipment. If they are able to wear on while working over the hot equipment, that is preferred. All other staff shall properly wear masks or face coverings unless an exemption has been approved. See the order for these exemptions. All Customers shall be required to wear masks upon entry into the FSO. 2) Adjust the seating capacity post to 8. The sidewalk seating should be posted as a separate number (8 inside, 4 outside). 3) Post updated symptoms of COVID-19 on the front door.

An additional Check-in Notice inspection has been provided. The KCHD appreciates all the effort and steps taken to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. A follow-up inspection has been scheduled for Monday, October 5th. If issues are observed during other routine Check-in inspections, issues will be documented accordingly.
