3717-1-04.1(KK) / Food equipment - certification and classification.
Operation was using household Gladware containers for food storage at the time of inspection.
Gladware is not approved for use in licensed food facilities. Food equipment that is acceptable for use in a FSO or RFE shall be approved by a recognized food equipment testing agency. Remove this unapproved equipment.
3717-1-04.1(Y) / Temperature measuring devices.
Cold holding equipment (reach in cooler) did not contain a working thermometer, or the thermometer was not correctly placed.
A properly designed temperature measuring device as specified in this rule shall be located in the warmest part of a cooling unit or the coolest part of a food warming unit. Provide an accurate working thermometer for the reach in cooler.
3717-1-04.4(A)(2) / Equipment components kept intact, tight, and adjusted
Repeat Observed that the seal on the left door of the reach in cooler was not intact at the time of inspection. Observed that the left door handle of the reach in cooler was loose at the time of inspection.
To ensure that the reach in cooler continues to function properly, equipment components such as doors, seals, hinges, and fasteners shall be kept intact, tight, and adjusted in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. Replace the damaged door seal and repair the loose handle for this equipment.

Overall, the facility appears much cleaner. PIC has prepared a written cleaning schedule addressing specific areas and equipment to maintain the facility and equipment clean. Continue to be mindful of maintaining storage so that single-service items may be stored in an approved manner. Datemarking procedures appear sound.
An approved backflow prevention device was installed for the hose connected to the water supply of the service sink. Make sure screened door is repaired before placing it into use.
A new commercial freezer was installed. Provide model and serial number information for this new equipment. All newly purchased equipment shall be commercial grade and approved by a recognized food equipment agency. Remember to contact the City of Kent Health Department prior to placing any new equipment into service.
