Critical Observed food in packaging (dented cans of sweet peas) that did not appear to be protected from contamination at the time of inspection.
Food packages shall be in good condition and protect the integrity of the contents so that the food is not exposed to adulteration or potential contaminants.
3717-1-04.2(I) / Sanitizing solutions - testing devices.
Critical Observed there was no test kit available for measuring the concentration of the Sani-Tabs sanitizer at the time of inspection.
A test kit or other device that accurately measures the concentration in PPM (mg/L) of sanitizing solutions shall be provided.
3717-1-04.1(KK) / Food equipment - certification and classification.
Repeat Observed operation was using food storage containers (Gladware) at the time of inspection that were not approved by a recognized testing agency.
Food equipment that is acceptable for use in a FSO shall be approved by a recognized food equipment testing agency. Remove this unapproved equipment.
3717-1-06.1(M) / Outer openings - protected.
Observed a door (screen torn and gapped at bottom) without proper protection against the entry of insects at the time of inspection.
To prevent contamination, outer openings of an FSO shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents as specified in this rule. Repair the screen door and eliminate the gap at the bottom of the door to protect the facility against the entry of pests.

| Observed seals to reach in refrigeration unit were intact at the time of inspection. Operation plans to replace this unit. All newly purchased equipment shall be commercial grade and approved by a recognized food equipment agency. Remember to contact the City of Kent Health Department prior to placing any new equipment into service. |
