Critical Corrected During Inspection Observed food employee handling cooked RTE food with bare hands. PIC and food employee were both reminded of handwashing and glove requirements during the inspection. PIC will do a training with all employees regarding these requirements. Comments
Received a complaint on 9/14/23 in which the complainant stated that employees were observed not wearing gloves or washing hands prior to handling ready-to-eat food with bare hands. The complainant also stated that the store was unclean with grease on the floors and walls. During the complaint inspection, a food employee was observed handling ready-to-eat fried food with bare hands when putting a to-go order together. Both the PIC and food employee were reminded of hand washing and glove usage requirements during the inspection. The PIC stated he will do food handling training with all employees. Marion Public Health will send the PIC handwashing signs and educational information to share with the food employees. The PIC was also advised to monitor employees handling food to ensure they are wearing gloves and washing hands. During the inspection, the facility was also observed to have a build-up of food, grease, and debris on floors and walls throughout the building. The PIC stated he will have the floors and walls cleaned.
