Comments
Complainant stated the equipment went down on the meat room equipment on June 7th. They noticed the temperatures were off during the mid day checks. Employee's were told to mark down the product if it did not look good.

I discussed the complaint with the manager. She stated that preventative maintenance was being preformed on the equipment. The technician was informed to only leave the equipment off for 30 minutes. The manager had to follow up with the technician several times. The technician was leaving the equipment off longer than he was suppose to. The store has an alarm system that will alert the manager when a temperature is above what it is suppose to be. As for making down the product, the manager stated they would not sell product that did not look good. If the packaging was damaged the employees were told to mark it down. At the time of the inspection, all temperatures of the cold equipment were correct.
