Corrected During Inspection Observed the handle of the scoop in the oreo container touching the oreos. PIC removed the scoop during the inspection. In-use utensils improperly stored.

Corrected During Inspection Observed to-go containers not stored upside down to prevent contamination from the premises. PIC placed the containers upside down during the inspection. Single-service and single-use articles not protected from contamination.

Observed a build-up of debris inside the prep and stand-up cooelrs as well as on the vent covers in the walk-in cooler. Non-food contact surfaces of equipment are unclean.

Observed trash around the dumpster. Improperly cleaned storage area for refuse, recyclables, or returnables.

3717-1-06.2(J) / Ventilation - mechanical.
Observed the kitchen hazy/smoky. The ventilation system above the fryers was observed to not be sufficient at drawing up the steam/smoke from the fryers. Ventilation not sufficient.
Marion Public Health contacted the Marion Twp Fire Inspector on 3/13/24 to investigate.
