Complainant stated facility is remodeling and freezer was left unprotected with the freight inside from 11PM (8/18) to 7AM (8/19). Complainant stated food was left at about 50F during that period of time in the cooler and freight was not discarded.
We went to the facility and talked to the manager about the complaint. Observed the facility is remodeling and has been working on switching the dairy coolers. Manager stated the remodeling crew was working on one cooler at a time and temperature was monitored during the all process. Temperature was fluctuating but did not stay above 41F for more than 45min - 1 hour. Manager stated food items in the dairy coolers were probed in the morning and temperature were 41F-43F. Manager stated all food items were moved into the meat cooler for safety. Also observed that facility received a freight on 8/18 around 11PM and proof was shown that the truck was unloaded in about 25 min. No food was left in the freight unprotected. No violation regarding the complaint was observed at the time of inspection.

Facility shall complete the remodel plan review process before further remodeling.
