Repeat Food thermometer not readily accessible. Observed missing thermometer in the walk in cooler.

Equipment and/or components not maintained. Observed ice build up on the door of the walk in freezer.

Comments
Complaint stated finding a pill cap inside the egg of a egg,cheese & ham croissant sandwich. The facility gets their eggs liquid from Maines and the eggs are stored in the walk in cooler. PIC demonstrated how the eggs are cooked. Eggs are poured down directly from the bottle to the egg maker. Talked to PIC that was present during complaint and PIC stated no employee on shift had or were using any pills. PIC stated the complaint has been reported to the district manager and corporate will contact their distributor for investigation. No pill cap was found in eggs at the time of inspection.
I - P - Employee Health: The operation had an employee health policy on file.
II - P - Good Hygienic Practices: Food employee was demonstrating good hygiene practices.
III - P - Preventing Contamination by Hands: Food employees were not contacting exposed ready-to-eat foods with bare hands.
IV - P - Demonstration of Knowledge: The person in charge is Certified in Food Protection.
VI - P - TCS Food: Observed time/temperature controlled for safety foods being properly held using time as a public health control; the operation had a written procedure on file, foods were properly marked to indicate the time that the food was removed from temperature control, and food was discarded when required.
