[?] Inspection Type: Complaint

Inspection Date: 16-January-2024

Comments
Received a complaint that the complainant purchased food from the mobile on 1/6/24 and stated that the pop cooler had an oily substance in it, both the hot dogs and coney sauce tasted bad, the inside of the trailer was dirty, and the sauce had a bad smell. During the complaint inspection, the mobile was not set up for operation. However, the PIC was in the process of cleaning the trailer during that time. The PIC stated that the coney sauce and hot dogs are always kept for 1-2 days and kept over 160°F in the steam table. PIC stated the coney sauce is a Detroit recipe that is not common in this area and may attribute to the off-putting taste/smell to some people. PIC also stated that the cooler had already been cleaned out and the oily substance was from a soda that had opened in the cooler. Due to the mobile not being in operation at the time of inspection, food temperatures and dates could not be checked, but the PIC was reminded of temperature and holding requirements during the inspection.
