Complainant stated 5 out of 6 of her family members experienced flu like symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, chills, stomach pain etc.) after eating Steak and Shake. Her family stopped on Tuesday 6/28/16 at 9:15pm. She stated she ordered soup and had to send back twice because it was not hot. The fries were not hot and the hamburger was only lukewarm. Symptoms started between 18 and 24 hours. Foods that were ordered were fries, chicken strips, foot long, steak burger and chicken salad. Everyone ordered a shake.

Conducted a full inspection. Violations were found due to improper holding temperatures, broken equipment, bare hand contact and cleanliness. A re-inspection has been scheduled. The standard inspection lists all the violations found during the inspection.
