Combined chlorine was not tested daily at pool side prior to use.
Test for combined chlorine prior to bathers entering the water and every 4 hours the pool is open for use. If ACC is in use combined chlorine must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the combined chlorine must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.
3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(v) / Water clarity are not present
Water clarity was not being recorded in the daily logs.
Do not operate the pool while the water is unclear. Determine cause of the lack of clarity and immediately correct the issue prior to bathers using the public swimming pool. Records of water clarity will now be kept.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(c)(ii) / Backwash lines and lines from drainage sumps shall have an air gap and remain open to freely drain.
Backwash line did not have an air gap prior to discharge
Open the lines that discharge into the backwash or drainage sumps so that there is an air gap and the lines can drain freely. Cut the line so that the pipe from the backwash line is above the rim of the recieving pipe.
3701-31-04 (C)(3) / Total alkalinity is at or greater than 60 ppm
Total alkalinity was 30 ppm.
Raise the total alkalinity to at least 60 ppm.
3701-31-04 (D)(7)(d) / Flow or pressure switch with a shut off valve shall be provided and tested monthly.
Critical Corrected During Inspection Flow or pressure switch for a shut off valve was not provided or the unit was not tested monthly
Have the ACC unit serviced or replaced with a unit that has a flow or pressure switch with an automatic shut off valve. Provide records indicating that the unit is being tested monthly. The flow switch was tested and is properly working, and will be tested monthly from now on.
