Backwash lines and lines from drainage sumps did not have an air gap prior to discharge. observed no air gap
Open the lines that discharge into the backwash or drainage sumps so that there is an air gap and the lines can drain freely.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(q) / Depth markers/deck warning signs are maintained
Depth markers/deck warning signs were not maintained in a clearly legible/visible manner. observed no depth markers, or "no diving" signs posted on pool deck.
Replace the depth markers/deck warning signs so that bathers are able to clearly see the depth of the water and that no diving is permitted where clearly indicated.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(s) / Perimeter barrier is in good repair to prevent unauthorized entry
Perimeter barrier had gaps greater than 4 inches. Observed open window in pool room. Window had no screen- please keep windows closed or provide screens to prevent unauthorized entry into the pool
Repair the perimeter barrier so that there are not any gaps greater than 4 inches anywhere along the barrier.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(t) / Equipment/chemical/storage areas are free of hazards/accessible only to authorized personnel.
Critical Equipment/chemical/storage areas were not secured. Pump room was left unlocked
These storage areas must be kept inaccessible to everyone but authorized personnel. Secure the areas.
3701-31-04 (B)(6)(v) / Electrical components are maintained/ free of hazards
Critical Electrical components were not maintained and could be a hazard. Observed pool light without proper cover. Please fix.
Repair and maintain all electrical components to a safe, non-hazardous condition.
3701-31-04 (C)(2) / pH is within 7.2 to 7.8
pH was outside the range of 7.2 to 7.8. Observed pH at 8.0+
Treat the pool water so that the pH is within the acceptable range.
3701-31-04 (E)(2)(a)(ii) / A USCG Type IV personal flotation device with 30 -60 foot throw line provided
A USCG Type IV personal flotation device with 30 -60 foot throw line was not provided at the unguarded pool. Observed ring buoy without throw line attached. please ensure that the throw line is attached to the ring buoy
Provide a proper floatation device at all times.
3701-31-04 (E)(3)(b) / "Children must be supervised" or "Swimming alone is not recommended" signs posted
The unguarded pool was in use without the "Children must be supervised" and/or "Swimming alone is not recommended" signs posted.
Post the "Children must be supervised" and/or "Swimming Alone is Not Recommended" signs at all times the pool is available for use.
