Comments:
The District of West Vancouver operates a municipal water treatment plant and water distribution system. The source of the water supplying the eastern part of the District is from the Greater Vancouver Water District (GVWD/Metro) and their Seymour/Capilano Filtration Plant, whereas the central/western part of the District is supplied from the Eagle Lake Water Treatment Facility. In collaboration with GVWD the DWV has a comprehensive water quality sampling program. The water sample results for 2017, as published in the Annual Water Quality Report, again indicate high water quality was maintained throughout the year. The DWV has the lead water treatment operator working towards the level of operator certification to match the treatment system classification, as established by the British Columbia Environmental Operators Certification Program Society. The DWV has water distribution operators with the level of operator certification to match the distribution system classification, as established by the British Columbia Environmental Operators Certification Program Society. The DWV has an Emergency Response and Contingency Plan. The DWV has a program of scheduled maintenance and capital upgrades. All these programs contribute to the supply of high quality water. No concerns, thank you.
