3701-31-04 (B)(4)(a)(i) / Disinfection residuals are tested daily at pool side at required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features
Disinfection residuals were not tested at the required intervals for pools/automatic chemical controllers/special features. Pool is open from 6am-10pm, but according to record book, first reading is not taken for pool until 8am-12pm. First reading should be at 6am, then again at 6pm. This rule also applies to pH and combined chlorine which must be tested at the same frequencies.
Test the disinfection residual every day before bathers enter the water. Disinfection residual must then be tested every 4 hours when an ACC is not in use. If an ACC is in use the disinfectant residual must be tested every 12 hours while the pool is in use. For spraygrounds and spray features, the disinfectant residual must be tested at 1 spray feature every 6 hours the sprayground or spray feature is in use.
